Alexander Craven is a writer-director whose work utilizes a bravely human approach to stories that explore modern identity and relationships in fresh, often darkly comedic, ways.
Alex’s passion for cinema was sparked by his grandfather, a Denver CO based jazz musician, and he worked briefly in eye research before deciding to make movies full time. In college, he helped start a private satellite based IP-TV network that delivered custom content and advertising to over 350 nightlife locations. He then worked for Gore Verbinski during RANGO, and attended ArtCenter College of Design for his MFA, where his directing work won the departmental scholarship both years.
Recently, he produced a concert featuring John Williams & Anne-Sophie Mutter, wrote a science-fiction thriller, and has been filming a TV series about the delivery of commercial aircraft.
Great Coward is a cinema consortium currently developing a number of brave projects which explore our dance with reality in the modern world.
